    • 6415. ADA ESTHER STOLTZ
      Ada Esther Stoltz was born 31 March 1885 in Lick Prairie Precinct, Wabash County, Illinois, was the daughter of Henry and Ester (Deischer) Stoltz. See Number 641. Ada, as a young child, attended the Nye Chapel United Brethren Church. She attended the Sand Barrens School about two miles west of St. Francisville, Illinois.
      Ada Stoltz married Buren Highsmith in 1903 at St. Francisville. Buren was born 29 October 1884 at St. Francisville. He was the son of John and Emma (Viehman) Highsmith. John Highsmith was born in 1854 and Emma was born in 1862. They first lived in Wabash County, then moved to St. Francisville when Buren was a small child. John Highsmith died in 1926 and Emma died in 1946. They are buried in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, St. Francisville, Illinois. John and Emma Highsmith had three sons: (1) *Buren, (2) Oral Thurman (deceased), and (3) Harry who resides at Hazel Park, Michigan. Buren's grandfather was Madison Highsmith and his maternal grandmother was a Leipold.
      Buren and Ada Highsmith were divorced about 1918. Buren died in 1940 and is buried at Johnson City, Tennessee. Buren and Ada (Stoltz) Highsmith had five children all born near St. Francisville, Illinois.

      Ada Esther (Stoltz) Highsmith married second James Oscar Lukens.James Lukens was born 13 February 1866 at Loogootee, Indiana. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. James was a teamster in the oil fields in Lawrence County, Illinois. James was the son of Aquila and Jane Lukens.
      James and Ada (Stoltz) Lukens had an only daughter.
